He has been certified by the national organization as a Professional Landman since 1973, and he served as a lawyer on the 1989 drafting committee that revised its standard form joint operating agreement. Mr. Thornell also served on the drafting committee for the Prudhoe Bay/ North Slope operating agreement in Alaska.
